Abstract

The activity of some natural radioisotopes (226Ra, 232Th, 235U and 210Po) in seawater in coastal areas of Thanh Hoa - Quang Binh province was analyzed during the sampling in September, December 2018 and March, June 2019. Radioactive isotopes of 226Ra, 232Th, 235U and 210Po were determined by physicochemical methods and measured on spectral systems including low background gamma spectrometry and alpha spectrometer. The activity of the isotopes determined was 226Ra: 3.17¸18.93mBq/l, average 6.58mBq/l; 232Th: 4.78¸37.67mBq/l, average of 13.02mBq/l; 235U: 4.02¸24.51mBq/l, average 8.52mBq/l; and 210Po: 2,15¸7.63mBq/l, average of 3.43mBq/l. The results showed that there were differences in radioactivity of 226Ra, 232Th, 235U and 210Po isotopes in seawater among coastal areas of Thanh Hoa, Ha Tinh and Quang Binh.
