The Srepok River is a major tributary of the Mekong River. Srepok river basin is a system of 10 inter-provincial river basin large particularly important position of our country, the entire Srepok river basin (in the territory of Vietnam) has the natural area around 18.230km2. However, the Srepok river basin is facing with many challenges related to water resources such as the increasing of water exploitation, the number of reservoirs and electric dam. Moreover, with the characteristics of both inter-national and inter-provincial rivers, water sources across trans-boundary area are not controlled, leading to the lack of data and information. Therefore, it is recognized that the integration of the open source model, specifically the HYPE model with global rainfall data is essential to improve the quality of surface water forecast in river basins.
